The engineering work

Building online shops around detailed product catalogues and purchasing workflows.

Meta-Shop is a platform for building online shops, developed and supported by Kitek. The i-Kraska storefront is one example: an established ecommerce portal for professional painting equipment, replacement parts and accessories. The work described here is illustrated through that storefront, where selected variants, compatible components and technical documents are part of the buying journey.

Keeping the selected product consistent

Product-selection work retains the chosen item in product links and browser history. Filtering and navigation preserve the relevant selection, helping a buyer return to the same product or variant while exploring the catalogue.

Compatible parts, accessories and drawings

Product pages organise compatible spare parts and accessories into separate groups alongside relevant product characteristics and drawings. This lets buyers examine the main equipment and its related components within the same technical context.

Searchable technical-document library

The document library supports finding materials by equipment and brand, with search, paging and related-product connections. Buyers can move between relevant documents and the products they describe, keeping supporting information within the catalogue journey.

Order details that preserve the selected item

Checkout records the product name and selected-part description used for the order. Those details are reused in order views and confirmation messages, keeping the description of what was requested consistent through the purchasing process.

Editorial content within the catalogue platform

The portal's publishing work includes editor-controlled drafts and publication, cover images, inline galleries and article metadata. It gives the team a structured way to maintain supporting product and technical content alongside the ecommerce catalogue.
